NTSC (National Television System Committee) is an analog color TV broadcasting standard used primarily in North America, established in the 1950s for television transmission. It features a frame rate of 29.97 frames per second and a resolution of 480 interlaced lines.
sRGB (Standard Red Green Blue) is a color space developed in 1996 for digital devices like monitors, cameras, and printers. It is the most widely used standard for web images and digital content, ensuring consistent color reproduction across different devices. While NTSC is tied to older analog TV systems, sRGB is the modern standard for digital color display.
The key difference between NTSC and sRGB lies in their purpose and usage:
NTSC is a broadcasting standard used for analog television, primarily in North America. It defines how TV signals (both video and color) are transmitted and displayed, including the frame rate (29.97 fps) and resolution (480i). NTSC was developed for transmitting TV content, and it's largely obsolete today, having been replaced by digital formats.
sRGB is a color space created for digital devices like monitors, cameras, and printers. It standardizes how colors are displayed across different digital platforms to ensure consistency, particularly for web content. sRGB is still widely used today in digital media and photography.
In short, NTSC is a standard for analog TV broadcasting, while sRGB is a standard for digital color display.

The fact that you get the extra 1/4 of screen all the way around makes a huge difference. If you work from home and want a clean high quality screen I would highly recommend this monitor. I have a Samsung curved and an Acer all the same size in my three monitor set up and this Viewedge is actually my favorite of the three with great brightness and blue light settings. Very please with the purchase. It was easy to add to my 3 monitor stand set up and plug and play with the hdmi. Highly recommend.
My original review is below this update(Revised review)After having written a review when this monitor failed the seller reached out to me to make good on the purchase and sent a replacement monitor that appears to be right off the bat, better and has none of the flaws the previous one had. For excellent customer service and for providing a replacement monitor free of charge in a timely manner when they had no obligation to do so, I am thoroughly pleased and happy to recommend this product being they have since stopped using the part that had caused the defect.(Old review)Monitor was perfect and had no complaints until I had it for a month when a dead spot appeared on the lower right corner, then that morphed into a dead horizontal line, then a few lines and moments before I wrote this review it started to flicker and ghost. It's not the computer or the HDMI cable as I tested multiple devices and had the same results on the monitor and I tried the same hdmi cable on another screen and it worked fine. Based off other reviews I appear to be the only person who had this issue. It is located in my custom cabinet shop but to my knowledge, no one had hit it with any objects and it hasn't fallen as the base is screwed down to the desktop. Maybe I simply got a lemon here but I figured I'd put this in a review for others to see.
This is a great monitor that I alternate using between work and my personal monitor that I hook up to either my work or personal laptop. There is quite a few things I like about this monitor: 1) the size; 2) the quality and clarity of fonts, pictures, colors, etc. is of good quality; 3) you can swivel it from right to left and vice versa; 4) connecting it is very easy; 5) the weight is light and easy to carry from place to place. My only wishlist for this monitor is that I wish I could adjust the height of the monitor and that the stand is a bit more sturdy.
The Viewedge CS24FT is a very good budget monitor, especially if your main purpose is office work, internet browsing and media consumption, for gaming, you should look elsewhere. Prior to receiving this monitor, I have to say that I never heard about the company, and I was not really expecting much, but I have to say, I am not offended by the look and the performance, especially for the money. Over the years I have tested many monitors from most major brands, and here I see plenty of positive talking points to discuss about this Viewedge 24'' monitor and some minor negatives or miss steps on their part, but before that a quick few words about the packing and presentation of the monitor. The monitor comes double boxed from Amazon for extra protection and to avoid any major damages during transportation.Viewedge's retail box is well designed, protective and with some images, or should I say graphics of the product inside and some of the most important features and specs outlined as well, the packing insulation inside is excellent, actually much better than some very expensive and well known brands, the monitor is nested between two very thick styrofoam shells and the rest of the accessories are on top of it in separate sections. On the top side of the foam, there is the power adapter, HDMI cable, in addition the arm of the base and the monitor stand.Positives:- Good for any kind of office work and light gaming - the screen screen resolution is 1080P and refresh rate is 75Hz with 5Ms response time. The panel is VA (Vertical Alignment) which is definitely better than TN, but not as great as IPS, regardless the speed is good and color accuracy is 99% sRGB.- Adaptive-Sync - Adaptive-Sync is great, but considering that this monitor is not meant to be a gaming monitor, it is not really a huge factor that you should be considering before buying it.- HDMI and VGA inputs - Considering that this is a very budget and office orientated monitor, I didn't expect a Display port or multiple HDMI ports, one is all you get and a VGA is there for some older computers as well, but you should be using the HDMI only anyway.- HDMI cable included - a lot of monitors are being sold without the DP or HDMI cable in the box, but this one is providing at least an HDMI one.- Matte screen - no glare, no reflections on the screen, the picture is clear and crisp.- 99% Srgb and maybe 250-300 nits of brightness, plus 5000:1 contrast - this is making it plenty useful for any office environments and even some content creation.- Good quality base and monitor stand and a VESA mount - although I am using a dual monitor arm on my desk and I am not using the monitor stand that comes in the package, that stand is actually pretty good with a sturdy solid base and numerous adjustment positions.- Narrow side bezels, making the picture even more immersive and the monitor more compact.- Some good and useful options on board - Predefined brightness and contrast options Game mode, Movie mode, Text mode and User mode. The menu is easy and simple to operate.- No RGB on this monitor - thank Viewedge, there is just a minimalist small single blue color LED on the right side of the monitor.- Inexpensive - At the moment the CS24FT goes for $98, which is an excellent price for anyone that wants to keep it on budget and still enjoy some light gaming and media consumption.Negatives:- It's still a VA panel - No IPS or anything better as a technology, so there are some picture compromises, but still better than TN panels.- 5ms response time is not that bad but only 75Hz, so not really suited for gaming, at least no serious gaming.- No HDMI 2.1 or DP 1.4 on board.- Some screen side wobble - since the stand is not really providing portrait mode options, not sure why there is a wobble, every touch on the back menu button is reflecting on the screen being tilted off center, if you use VESA mount, this issue is eliminated.- The power source/adapter is not built into the monitor, but external, minor inconvenience, but still worth mentioning.- No G-sync or FreeSync, but of course for that price, I was not really expecting those technologies on board.Overall, I like this monitor so far, it is a good more modern office monitor that is not going to break the bank and offers some nice features.
Viewedge 24 inch monitor is easy to setup and install, monitor is lightweight, display menu is easy to control. I decided to get this because of the size and price (not bad at all) I've a gaming laptop and need an extra monitor for which this one is an excellent option. Crystal clear display, graphics looks beautiful!
