What is NTSC and sRGB and what's the difference?
NTSC (National Television System Committee) is an analog color TV broadcasting standard used primarily in North America, established in the 1950s for television transmission. It features a frame rate of 29.97 frames per second and a resolution of 480 interlaced lines.
sRGB (Standard Red Green Blue) is a color space developed in 1996 for digital devices like monitors, cameras, and printers. It is the most widely used standard for web images and digital content, ensuring consistent color reproduction across different devices. While NTSC is tied to older analog TV systems, sRGB is the modern standard for digital color display.
The key difference between NTSC and sRGB lies in their purpose and usage:
NTSC is a broadcasting standard used for analog television, primarily in North America. It defines how TV signals (both video and color) are transmitted and displayed, including the frame rate (29.97 fps) and resolution (480i). NTSC was developed for transmitting TV content, and it's largely obsolete today, having been replaced by digital formats.
sRGB is a color space created for digital devices like monitors, cameras, and printers. It standardizes how colors are displayed across different digital platforms to ensure consistency, particularly for web content. sRGB is still widely used today in digital media and photography.
In short, NTSC is a standard for analog TV broadcasting, while sRGB is a standard for digital color display.

I was excited to get this monitor. I use it for video editing and streaming.I need to figure out the various functions. Once you get used to the menu there are a lot of functions you can change.Assembly on the base is really simple, but I used a VESA mount to attach it to a two arm mount on my desk.I love the size and the very thin bezel. I wish I had two of them.First one arrived with dead pixels and ghosting.Customer service responded within about an hour. That's impressive. They are sending me another one that I hope does not have the same issues.
This monitor is clear and fast, and the build quality feels great at this price. There is a tiny amount of ghosting but it's not really a problem, especially at 240hz. Only complaint is the OSD uses a lot of cryptic abbreviations which makes it hard to navigate, but once you figure out your settings for the first time it's no longer a concern. HDR isn't great, but it rarely is on an IPS panel, especially at this price. I usually don't use HDR anyway because it offers very little benefit if you're not on an OLED and it slows down performance significantly.
This monitor is clean and sharp with solid color range and black levels right out of the box. Setup takes a minute with a thumb screw on the base plate into the stand, and then the stand snaps onto the monitor. It includes a power cable and DisplayPort cable. I was able to go from opening the box to having the full monitor set as my primary display within about 5 minutes! It immediately detected as a display including through a laptop docking station. There are four display inputs (HDMI x2 and DisplayPort x2) as well as a 3.5mm audio output so you can funnel sound to external speakers or a headset. The on-screen navigation is accessible from the front panel buttons and features a number of presets including standard mode, RPG mode, FPS Arena mode, MOBA Arena mode, as well as adaptive-sync and a customizable shadow balance. There are more advanced settings if you drill down to the other sections including picture settings, color settings and more.I am currently running it only through a basic laptop and docking station so am only able to achieve 60Hz and no HDR capabilities. However, even at the default settings it looks great and is a major step up from my decade-old monitor I was using previously, or the small built-in laptop display. When hooked up to dedicated video cards, you will be able to get a much higher refresh rate and some HDR capabilities that should look stunning on HDR-supported content. The stand is appreciated as you can rotate the monitor left and right, angle it upward and downward, and turn the entire display clockwise or counterclockwise to swap between a horizontal and vertical view for specialized applications or coding tasks.
